emotional roller coaster #1
Checkpoint #1
→ Quest "Gaming" unlocked
→ Energy: ▲△△
Today I didn't feel like doing something that required a lot of brainpower. For context, it was a pretty rough week regarding my emotions and my close social circle. So I decided to take it slow. Instead of reading a book in English, I played this visual novel, which is adorable <3
The main character, Haru, is a trans girl in Japan who is invited to spend a night at a hot spring.
I felt good, warm-hearted, and got a sense of hope. I was never motivated enough to finish any game. Maybe because I couldn’t deal with the frustration of failing at something that seemed easy for others. Still, finishing three endings out of seven made me feel proud — like I could actually do it.
It might sound silly — I know games are meant to be fun — but I can’t ignore how it made me feel, and how much it impacted my little “gaming journey.”
I feel that if I'm able to finish all the endings, I can try new things (like playing more difficult games, for example). And that's important for me, because through games I’ve been able to connect with one of my dearest friends.
Last bit — this is probably tinted by my other projects, and how this silly thing motivates me to pursue them. Maybe that’s why it feels a bit deeper than it should, considering it’s just a visual novel.
Hope you’re having a nice day — or just a day.
